The Department of Pharmacology is dedicated to academic excellence and research in the science of drugs. It serves as a vital bridge between basic sciences and clinical practice, training students in rational prescribing, drug safety, and evidence-based therapeutics. The department offers a robust curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate students, supported by interactive teaching methods, modern laboratories, and research initiatives. Our faculties are actively engaged in academic research and contribute to pharmacovigilance, drug trials, and toxicology studies, fostering a strong foundation for future healthcare professionals.
Clinical Pharmacology Lab:

Special Drug Delivery systems like Metered Dose Inhalers, Spacers, Nasal sprays, Transdermal patches, insulin pen etc.
• Samples of various important drug formulations including rational and irrational FDC, Essential medicines.
• Simulation models for demonstration of routes of administration i.e., various injections (IV, IM, sc. intracardiac), enema, vaginal pessary insertion, and other routes of drug administration.
• Modules for communication competencies e.g., module with recorded videos of role play

Computer Assisted Learning Lab:
• Computers with standard configuration and connected to the broadband internet, along with AV aids including multimedia projector and screen/LED screen).
• The Computers have computer assisted teaching-learning and assessment material.
Departmental Museum:
• Consists of National Iist of Essential Medicines, Standard treatment Guidelines, Banned Drugs List of the CDSCO, Hospital formulary, Animations/videos of mechanism of action of clinically useful drugs in humans, Adverse Drug Reactions forms, and photographs of ADRs, Drug Promotional Literature, OSCE/OSPE station material and Self-assessment modules.
• E-prescription, Digital cases, and case videos.
